Presales Engineer - Paris


We are currently looking for an experienced Presales knowing text mining/semantic analysis/cognitive computing, based in Paris, who will directly report to the VP Sales France. He/she will demonstrate expertise in presales, doing presentations, demonstrations, building and developing prototypes, proof of value, promoting our software on the French market.

Primary responsibilities

  • Assist the sales team and attend meetings with existing customers and prospects to define technical requirements
  • Identify and analyze customer’s purchasing goals/objectives/pain/gain in order to assist the sales executive team to build the value proposition of the solutions and justify the ROI;
  • Ability to uncover business challenges and develop a custom solution to solve those challenges
  • Manage business actions in close collaboration with the sales and consulting teams;
  • Provide feedback to the dedicated Product Manager for this vertical in order to meet customers’ requirement;
  • Contributions as required on all topics which affect quarterly Expert System revenue and shareholder value;
  • Identify market trends in order to build and maintain relevant use-cases, demo and tool-kits
  • Execute all presales activities (customer qualification, solution definition, presentations, develop and build prototypes/proof of value, tradeshows, company events, customer workshops)
  • Be an active team member to assess competitor’s solutions and deliver a winning strategy/solution
  • Provide technical solutions in a professional manner and to agreed timeframes
  • Ability to share common tasks with the team
  • Define and share best practices
  • Work collaboratively with Product Management and R&D
  • Take ownership of presales issues and drive them until completion

Required Qualifications

  • Master Degree (Business School or Engineering or equivalent University);
  • The candidate is both business-oriented and tech savvy;
  • Comfortable with continuous improvement and consultative approach
  • Strong ability to manage and respect deadline
  • Strong analytical skills and very practical approach in solving problems;
  • Proven ability to build and deliver business value propositions with the sales team at C level;
  • Demonstrate ability to work effectively in team and virtual team environment;
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills (English is a must) for business-oriented presentations with high-level decision-makers;
  • Excellent presentation skills;
  • Active listening skills
  • Team player who is motivated to succeed beyond target
  • Able to work in a matrixed environment with Corporate and European presales virtual team
  • High analytical and anticipation abilities in order to manage value-added projects;
