CyCon, Tallinn, May 28-31, 2019
The 11th edition of the International Conference on Cyber Conflict (CyCon), the annual conference organized by the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence, will take place in Tallinn (Estonia) May 28-31, 2019.
Expert System’s Andrea Melegari, SEVP Defense, Intelligence and Security, will present as part of the workshop “Darkweb – Any impacts for military operations?” on May 30 at 11.00 a.m. During this session, he will explain how artificial intelligence and the measurement of stylistic indicators (expressions, preferred words and habits that people use when writing) can help to trace identities hidden in the dark web.
“Stylistic analysis is increasingly used to reveal the identity of those who work illegally on the dark web, a manual activity that works effectively, but is slow and requires a lot of resources,” commented Melegari. “Artificial intelligence applications make this process much faster and guarantee high levels of accuracy in supporting analysts to identify authors behind text.”
CyCon is one of the major international events dedicated to the cyber defence sector, attended by decision makers and experts in the legal and technological fields, private companies, military and governmental organizations to discuss and share information, current challenges and future trends of cyber security.
