Emerging technologies for Digital Libraries

The 9th November in Wilsa in Poland, within the XXII Autumn Meetings su Polish Information Processing Society (PIPS), a workshop dedicated to emerging technologies for digital libraries will be held, organized by the M-CAST project and coordinated by Expert System.

Expert System is one of the developing partners of the M-CAST project, which aim is the development of a multilingual infrastructure enabling content producers to access search and integrate the assets of large multilingual text (and multimedia) collections, such as internet libraries, resources of publishing houses, press agencies and scientific databases.

The workshop in Wilsa has been organized in order to collect contributions and provide discussion times on such themes. It foresees a number of interventions structured in two sections:

– Emerging technologies, namely Natural Language Processing and Domain Ontology use to driven access to contents and interoperability.

– Digital Libraries best practice and success stories.
