Expert System Included in 2009 Gartner Information Access Technology Magic Quadrant

Expert System, leading provider of semantic software that searches, discovers, classifies and interprets unstructured text information, today announces its inclusion in the 2009 Information Access Technology Magic Quadrant, issued by Gartner, Inc.
According to Gartner Analyst Whit Andrews, author of the 2009 Information Access Technology Magic Quadrant, “Information access technologies find, collect and condense information or map its native location, so users may actively seek information, analyze it effectively and remain informed. Enterprise search, in which users’ queries are matched against an index to return relevant documents and data, is an element of information access.”
In 2008, Gartner reported software revenue (new licenses and maintenance revenue) in the enterprise search market totalled $1.1 billion worldwide. The firm forecasts this will rise to $1.9 billion by 2013, with a compound annual growth rate of 11.7 percent.
