Finmeccanica to be highlighted during a seminar, 10-25-2007

Arnaldo Auletta, Strategy Manager at Finmeccanica, will be the keynote speaker at the Expert System sponsored seminar on the use of semantic technology to be held Thursday November 15th 2007, from 2,30 pm to 6,30 pm at the Starhotel Metropole – via Principe Amedeo, 3 Rome – Italy.

Mr. Auletta will focus his remarks on how Finmeccanica, a global industrial group in the areas of aerospace and defence, uses semantic technologies in the analysis and management of unstructured information available on the Web.  In particular, Mr. Auletta will reveal how Finmeccanica gains strategic marketing and competitive insight for advanced decision making.

The Italian Marketing Association (Associazione Italiana di Marketing) is a co-sponsor of the seminar and will also feature Stefano Spaggiari, Chief Executive Officer of Expert System.  Mr. Spaggiari will present a report on the use of semantics for Web 2.0 content.  Web 2.0 is commonly referred to as user generated content coming from social networking sites, blogs, etc.  The variability and common expressions used in Web 2.0 is great but the report details how semantic technologies can be used to harvest and understand consumers’ perspectives on a wide range of subjects.
